Saltwater Dreams
The third installation in Brandon Stieg’s Diver Boy series, Saltwater Dreams features a lifelike teddy bear held by a Kraken tentacle emerging through a porthole. Entirely hand-forged, formed, and carved in steel, bronze, and copper, the sculpture is built over a shaped metal armature and clad with finely detailed, textured panels. Each element—from the softness suggested in the bear’s fur to the curling force of the tentacle—is achieved through the meticulous manipulation of raw metals using traditional forging and fabrication techniques. Approximately 28” tall, it is designed for wall display with a hidden mounting system. One of a kind.
