Fire Totem

Created during California’s fire season and the electrical storms that swept the state, Fire Totem is a one-of-a-kind sculpture by Brandon Stieg, standing approximately 8 feet tall with a 7-foot wingspan. Hand-forged, formed, and fabricated in welded steel, the piece incorporates raw materials and found relics—remnants of our industrial past. Totemic figures including a ram’s skull, owl, raven, hawk, deer, and a retro gas mask are crafted through intensive metalwork and arranged in a vertical composition that reflects on destruction, survival, and the enduring spirit of the natural world.
